 Welcome Mr. Barton!
We're happy to announce that Mr. Myron Barton will be our Interim Assistant Principal for the rest of the year.
Mr. Myron Barton is an adaptive and student-focused educational leader with a passion for fostering academic excellence, equity, and positive school culture. With over a decade of experience spanning elementary to university-level education, he has served in various roles, including classroom teacher for general education and advanced academic students, and the roles of science coach and Dean of Students. Mr. Barton works as an adjunct professor at his alma mater Bowie State University. His expertise in behavior intervention, curriculum development, and mentoring has helped shape supportive learning environments where all students can thrive. Dedicated to building strong relationships with students, staff, and the community, Mr. Barton believes in the power of collaboration and innovative problem-solving. Outside of education, he enjoys golf, swimming, and spending time with his family.
