PTA Nominating Committee
We need 3 volunteers to serve on our nominating committee. This committee will guide the process to fill open PTA positions for the 2025-2026 school year.
As part of the nominating committee, you would:
- Attend the next 2-3 general PTA meetings
- Help identify nominees for open PTA board positions (we anticipate 2 positions will be open)
- Run nominations during PTA general meeting
This commitment would be approximately 1-2 hours per week over next 3 months.

After School Enrichment Update
The winter session of after school enrichment is well underway. Currently enrolled families should have received a mid-session survey from Baroody via email in the past 2 weeks. If you haven't already, please make sure to complete this survey. It really helps to provide the PTA with input as the session continues. You'll also receive a survey at the end of the session, which we encourage you to submit.
Our spring session is coming soon! Registration will open on March 17, and classes will run from April 28 through May 29.

Special Education Workshop Series
Winter 2025
PEATC presents this virtual workshop series for parents and professionals who want to learn more about special education in Virginia. Choose which of these informative workshops you’d like to attend!
- February 26 – Measurable IEP Goals
- March 12 – Ins and Outs of IEP Meetings
- March 26 – Dispute Resolution
Each workshop will start at 6:30 p.m. EST and will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. These sessions will not be recorded.

Food 4 Thought is a PTA-sponsored initiative to help students in need with healthy, shelf-stable food for the weekends and school-day snacks.
Volunteer: Help deliver food bags and snacks to classrooms on Fridays from 8-8:30am. Volunteers needed now through the end of the school year. Sign up here.
