Principal's Message

February 14, 2025

Greetings, Team Langston Hughes:

February is a time to honor and celebrate the rich contributions and achievements of African Americans. I encourage you to take this opportunity not only to reflect on these accomplishments but also to celebrate them throughout the year. As February is also a month filled with love, friendship, and positive energy, I want to take a moment to wish our entire Panther family a Happy Valentine’s Day!

We are off to a strong start in the second semester! Our focus remains on fostering a positive school climate and ensuring the best possible learning environment for all students. The safety of our students and staff, along with high-quality instruction and meaningful learning experiences, remain our top priorities. At Langston Hughes Middle School, we are committed to helping every student succeed. The partnership between home and school is essential to student success, so we encourage families to continue monitoring their child’s attendance and academic progress via ParentVUE.

 Upcoming Events:

  • Rising 8th-Grade Curriculum Night has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 18th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. This event is designed to provide families with important information as students transition into 8th grade. If you haven’t already, please RSVP here. We look forward to seeing you!
