🚸Kindergarten and New Student Registration for the 2024-25 School Year
A child may enter kindergarten for this school year if he or she turns five on or before September 30, 2024.
If you have not registered your child, we are scheduling appointments for all rising kindergartners. We have Spanish translators in the office and can arrange for other languages as well. Please contact Shermin Sirajudin, our Student Information Assistant, by email at ssirajudin@fcps.edu or by phone at 703-326-3100.

The vision of Herndon Elementary School is to provide students with a safe, nurturing learning environment where all students will work to their full potential.
The mission of Herndon Elementary is to develop children to their full potential by ensuring a high level of success for all students. Teachers will work to differentiate instruction, provide a safe environment, and develop goals with students. Parents and teachers will work together as a community to prepare students to become productive citizens.
Our vision for the 2024-2025 school year is…
- We will know all of our bees as scholars and as humans.
- As a staff, we are a team and collectively responsible for all of our bees.
