Literacy Resources
We believe families are key to developing literacy. This page has resources to help you encourage literacy at home. It also has info to help you partner with your student's teacher and school staff in supporting your student's literacy progress in reading and writing.
Pacing is the how and when teachers teach the standards. Each school division creates its own pacing found here using this link. These pacing overviews are examples of how and when teachers organize and teach the curriculum. They are organized by quarter and by week. All grades have begun their new units. Please check in with your students to inquire about what they are learning in their new unit.

Friendly Reminder: FCPS Trust Policy Information For Families
As we navigate the months ahead, many families are experiencing anxiety and uncertainty due to the recent Presidential Election and ongoing discussions surrounding immigration policies.
In 2022, the School Board adopted the Trust Policy, reaffirming its commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students and their families. This policy aligns FCPS with Fairfax County’s Public Trust and Confidentiality Policy ensuring that students and families can access school division benefits and services without fear that their information will be disclosed to federal immigration officials.
