Message from the Principal
Happy New Year! It has been great to be back. The building has been bustling. I have been delighted to see high academic engagement in classroom visits and our students' passion for participating in numerous activities and sports.
As we head toward the end of January, weather and morning traffic will be concerns. With the continuing work on 495 through Tysons, please consider rolling back departure times to accommodate anticipated delays.
Your role in this is crucial. If you have a student driving to school, please discuss reasonable departure times and winter weather driving. Your guidance can make a significant difference in ensuring their safety.
If you are dropping off your student, please.
- Follow the Kiss and Ride procedure on campus, pull up as far as possible to Door #14 (I will be standing here most days) to drop off your student.
- Please do not drop off in other locations in our parking lot; this creates a dangerous situation for students and disrupts traffic flow and staff parking.
- Do not drop off students in the crosswalk. Security staff will monitor student crossings and help to move traffic forward.
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students. Have a wonderful week – I look forward to the end of the second quarter and the second half of the school year.
Best,
Mr. Stroud
