It was good to see our White Oaks students back at school on Friday, January 10th after a long break. With the cold weather and knowing some ice remained in neighborhoods, we hope everyone had a safe journey to and from school today. I want to thank our custodians for their hard work and efforts to clean the sidewalks and entrances at White Oaks. On closing days, the custodial team reports to work to perform critical tasks so that we can be ready to open school. We have a dedicated and hard working team at White Oaks.
Our wonderful music teacher, Chelsey Morgan Elder had her baby on the day of the snow storm. That was an exciting day for Ms. Elder's family. We are fortunate that we have a long term substitute in place already. Ms. Gibbs will be our teacher in the music specials, covering for Ms. Elder, for the remainder of the year. Ms. Gibbs is a certified music educator and we are fortunate to have her.
In this Weekly Bulletin, we are announcing the winners of the PTA Sponsored Reflections program. It is wonderful to celebrate our students' achievements. Thank you to our PTA for coordinating this opportunity.
We hope everyone had a good break and we are looking forward to a good week ahead.

SCA Winter Clothing Drive

Thank you and your child(ren) for participating in this year's White Oaks PTA Reflections Program. We were delighted to see a range of grades and artistic styles. Congratulations to all the participants on a job well-done!

All student artwork that received "Outstanding Interpretation" will move onto the Fairfax County PTA Reflections level. A certificate and small gift from the PTA will be provided to all the participants in the coming weeks.
