Haycock Hello 1.6.25

groups

Dear Haycock Families,

Happy New Year to all! We hope that you all had a good and safe winter break.  We are watching the weather closely, and our custodians are on call to come in and begin clearing the snow as soon as it is safe to do so.

As we enter into the deep winter months, make sure you know where to access information about possible weather related school delays or closings. The FCPS’ website is generally the first place to find out about emergency weather closings. Also, please update your contact information in SIS ParentVUE. Emails and text messages are sent to parents and caregivers based on the addresses and cell phone numbers entered on this platform.

We are planning for and looking forward to a great 2025 for all of your children.

With appreciation for your partnership,

Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu

Heather Boyd, AP   HABoyd@fcps.edu

Krystal Styles, AP   krstyles@fcps.edu

Crossing Guard Appreciation Nomination

A good crossing guard can help start everyone’s day off on the right foot. Our very own crossing guard, Ms. Beeda Lee-Pawlak, goes that extra mile, encouraging lasting habits and making walking to school and safe crossings fun. Join us in nominating Ms. Lee-Pawlak for recognition by the Virginia Department of Transportation for Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, February 12, 2025.

Nominations are open NOW, and close on January 11, 2025. Nominating our crossing guard is easy: just fill out the online nomination form and be sure to send us a photo of your favorite crossing guard doing the work we can all be proud of.
