Dear Olde Creek Families,

As we approach the final days of 2024, I want to take a moment to reflect on all we have accomplished together this year and share a few important updates as we head into winter break.

First, I want to express my deepest gratitude for our incredible school community—students, staff, and families—who make Olde Creek a truly special place. The enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment to learning and kindness that fill our hallways every day are inspiring.

This week marks a bittersweet moment for our school, as we say goodbye to Mrs. Alison Butler, our beloved assistant principal. Mrs. Butler has been an integral part of our school family, and her leadership, compassion, and dedication to our students will be dearly missed. We are celebrating her with warmth, laughter, and fond memories as she transitions to her next chapter.

I am pleased to share that our interim assistant principal will be Mrs. Maureen Boland, who is no stranger to Olde Creek. Mrs. Boland is a retired FCPS principal and a member of the Olde Creek community. Her wealth of experience will make her the perfect fit to help us maintain continuity and support during this transition. We are thrilled to welcome her to this role and know she will provide exceptional leadership while we work to hire a permanent assistant principal.

As we wrap up 2024, I want to wish each of you a joyful holiday season and a restful winter break. I hope this time brings you the chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments with loved ones.

Thank you for your continued support of our school. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on January 6th, ready for new opportunities, growth, and learning in 2025!

Warm regards,
Courtney
