2. PTSO News

PTSO WeMail

There will be no PTSO WeMail over the break. We will resume on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. Have a wonderful winter break!

Family Food/Grocery Card Drive

The PTSO sends our heartfelt thanks to the Woodson community for your generous contributions to our family food/grocery card drive. Over the past two months, this community has donated over $4,000 to support Woodson Families in need this holiday season. In close coordination with Woodson’s Office of Student Services and our amazing Counselors, Social Workers and Family Liaison, we will be able to support families with grocery cards and other resources through the Cav Cupboard before the winter break.

The All Night Grad Party NEEDS YOU!

Every year, Woodson celebrates our graduates with a drug and alcohol free all night party to keep our teens off the roads and safe. It’s a Cavalier tradition that freshman, sophomore, and junior parents organize the event to “pay it forward” for when their own kids are celebrating. But this fabulous event can’t happen without a planning committee!

Can you help? Email woodsonangp@gmail.com to volunteer or find out more!

Ice Hockey Club

We had an interesting game Friday night, Dec.13th at the St. James against West Potomac. Their goalie was injured only 8 min into the game. They decided to continue to play without a goalie and by the middle of the 2nd period decided to call the game at 12-3, in our favor! Woodson sophomore, Wyatt Borgeson, got his 1st hat trick of the season (that’s 3 goals!) and junior, Max Eister, was in net, keeping their goals to a minimum. And the student cheering section was fantastic; thank you to all who came out to show us the love!

Our next Varsity game is the Alumni vs current team game on Sunday, Dec 22nd at the St. James, starting at 4:50pm. Please come out for what looks to be a very fun game!
