Message from the Principal
As we approach our final week before winter break, I continue to be amazed by our students' talents, our staff's dedication, and the passion of the Langley community.
I want to thank everyone for the warm and welcoming reception I have received as I join this incredible community—a special thank you to the Langley PTSA for the welcome breakfast on Wednesday morning. If you are not a current member of the PTSA, I encourage you to join. Their work is invaluable in helping us provide an excellent experience for our students and families in many ways.
Thank you for your support with student arrivals this week. Seeing many of you and your students each morning is one of the highlights of my day. It is fantastic to see everyone demonstrating kindness and patience each morning. Please continue using the established traffic pattern for Kiss and Ride, as dropping students off in other parking lot areas is unsafe.
When dropping off students, please continue to move to Door #14 as far as possible.
Have a wonderful week.
Principal Stroud
Donate to the PTSA
Donate to the PTSA! The PTSA depends on donations from our families to provide the programming and school support for this year. The PTSA budget relies on families donating $125 per student. If you have yet to donate this year, please do so here. Please donate!

Student Attendance Reporting
The holiday season is almost upon us! With that, we recognize that many families may have travel plans that could impact school attendance.
We kindly ask that, if possible, you inform us of any planned absences as soon as you are able. This will greatly assist our attendance office in managing the increased volume of attendance requests we typically experience during this time.
-
All Day Absences: The Attendance feature in ParentVUE is the FCPS secure web solution for reporting all day absences.
Partial Absence: To report late arrivals, early dismissals, or to update already submitted attendance, please email LangleyHSAttendance@fcps.edu.

Winter Break
As a reminder, winter break will be held Monday, December 23, to Friday, January 3. To help make sure you and your children have a restful break, we have asked that no homework be assigned during this time. Teachers may assign long-range assignments in the weeks ahead of the break, allowing students to practice time management skills, but no assignments will be due immediately following the break. We look forward to welcoming students back in the new year. Classes resume on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. See the complete school year calendar.
Please note that Langley High School offices will be closed during the break.
