Monday, 16 December 2024: Winter Color Monday - wear colors that match the season!
Tuesday, 17 December 2024: Holiday-themed accessory Tuesday - wear your favorite holiday hats or accessories.
Wednesday, 18 December 2024: Festive sweater Wednesday - wear your favorite sweater!
Thursday, 19 December 2024: Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow Thursday - Wear white in hopes for a snowy holiday break! SCA Leaders will lead a snowflake craft with each class.
Friday, 20 December 2024: Cozy Friday - Wear festive/comfy pajamas, and bring your favorite stuffed animal to snuggle with for the cold winter! (remember to dress warmly!)

Federal Impact Aid Form Due
FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. Paper forms were sent home. Please return them by Tuesday, December 17th. Families have access to fill out the survey electronically through January 2025.
Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is important, because information from this survey resulted in more than $4 million in funding last year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
The form is also available online in SIS ParentVue. Please visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page for more information.

Winter Resources
Food insecurity impacts more than 96,000 Fairfax County residents. There are many resources available to support those who need food assistance. Bundle Up With Books Over Break
Fairfax County Public Library’s (FCPL) winter reading adventure has begun and will continue through Friday, January 31, 2025. Visit your local FCPL library branch or visit their website to register and get a sneak peek at the prizes being offered.
Check out their Winter Reading Events webpage to learn about laser tag, movie nights, crafting sessions, Noon-Year Eve celebrations, and book discussions.

Free Library Card
Did you know that children who are read to at home have a higher success rate at school?
Fairfax County public library cards are free to all Fairfax County residents.
You have access to 23 different library branches with thousands of books to choose from
Your child can have their very own library card!
1. Get an application from the Deer Park Library (English or Spanish available)
2. Fill it out and return it to Mrs. Farfan in the Deer Park library.
3. Mrs. Farfan will verify your address and submit your application.
4. When your new library card is available, Mrs. Farfan will present your card to you!

Reflections
Thank you to all the participants! Judging is wrapping up!
If you have not turned in your original pieces, drop them off at the main office. PTA will have them on display.
RESCHEDULED!! Reception and awards for Reflections will be hosted by the PTA in the Deer Park Library. We are anticipating the date to be Dec. 18th at 7pm.

OTA Summer Camp Pass
Overtime Athletics Summer Camp Pass is back to allow you the MOST flexibility and LOWEST prices that you can find in the Northern Virginia Camp scene! Just choose how many weeks of camp you would like to join us for this summer and reserve your spot today. These can be used for any of our traditional day camps (and you don’t even have to choose just one!). All Families will receive an email from the OTA Team in February for final week/location selection. Any Add-ons may be purchased at this point.
