This season is a wonderful reminder of the importance of community, and we are incredibly thankful for the support, dedication, and involvement of our students, parents, teachers, and staff.
Your contributions, whether through volunteering, attending events, or simply being a part of our school community, have made a significant impact. Together, we have created a nurturing and vibrant environment where our children can thrive and grow.

PTA General Membership Meeting
The second PTA General Membership meeting of the year was held on Tuesday, November 19th. The meeting was attended my Ms. Kenya Champ, Assistant Principal Frost and Mr. Bill Farrar (Representing School Board Member for Braddock Rd. District). Frost PTA Grant awards were announced by the Treasurer, Ms. Elizabeth Holmquist. Grant recipients were Frost Superstars of the Month – Jenny Murphy, Kingdom of Me game – Laura Ballou, Updated Bilingual Dictionaries for Multilingual Learners – Lorenda Wieder, Front-Facing Library Displays – Danielle Powers, Science 7 Environscapes Watershed Model System – Jeri Thomas, Sewing Machine replacements for FACS – Amy Hansen, Good-Lite Vision Screening – Kristy Mattey and Faculty Leading Youth – Frost’s Mentor Works Program – Becky Mendoza,
Frost Rowing Program
The first ever Frost Rowing Program was concluded on November 21, 2024. Completion certificates were distributed among students who successfully completed the program. Thanks to Coach Tylander, Coach Hester and Coach Ron of Woodson Rowing Club for training the students. Special shoutout to Ms. Metzker for coordinating the program. We are very grateful to all the parents who volunteered to move equipment, Michelle Su for volunteering to coach and Lisa Veigel, who was instrumental in making this program a success.

Thank you to many who joined and others who stepped up to volunteer. As we embark on another exciting school year, we invite you to make a difference for our students and teachers at Frost Middle School through Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) membership.
PTA Family Memberships are $25. Funds from PTA memberships and donations are used in support of the Frost PTA’ initiatives including our staff Grant Program. Your dollars will go directly to programs that enrich the experience of students, families, and staff here at Frost. A family membership also includes access to the Frost online student directory. Every parent/guardian who signs up for PTA membership automatically gets included in the student directory, unless you choose to opt your student out.

Volunteers Needed for 8th Grade Celebration
We are looking for volunteers to serve on the planning team for the 8th grade celebration. We will need several dedicated individuals to make sure this event is a success! If you are interested in serving on the planning committee for the 8th grade celebration (or are interested in helping plan other events such as Bingo Night), please contact president@frostmspta.org
