It's hard to believe winter break is here. This school year has flown by! On behalf of all of us at Justice, I hope you and your family have a wonderful break.

FCPS School Board members, FCPS division leadership, Justice HS admin, and Justice HS community members take a picture to celebrate and commemorate the proclamation issued by the FCPS School Board celebrating Justice High School's 65th year. Justice HS originally opened in 1959.
Safety and Security Specialist Mr. Dave Wall was selected out of over 100 entries as the Region 2 FCPS Cares member of the month for his exceptional work throughout the renovation project, his care for students, and his mentorship of new safety team members.
The FCPS Outstanding Employee Awards program celebrates the efforts and accomplishments of exception school-based and non-school-based employees from throughout the district. Nominees are awarded at the school level which allows them to move to the following selection stages: Region level, County, and then nominees who make it through these levels come together to the Award Ceremony held in May to see if they are the finalist for their respective category.

Ms. Gunther and Ms. Kruckenberg created a display with cards that have positive messages on them. Students are encouraged to take a card for themselves and can also pass them on to a friend to continue the positive message.
Mr. Rodriguez leads an information session for seniors during Advisory period. He reviewed end of year senior events, including graduation.
Students in World Languages classes prepping the bulletin boards in the H hallway for the holidays by posting various holiday slogans in languages spoken at Justice HS.
Earlier this week, the student government and leadership students put together a beautiful breakfast with fruit, pancakes, donuts, and coffee they served to teachers. Later in the afternoon they provided lunch and served pizza, Jersey Mike’s subs, and falafel sandwiches to a very grateful staff.

Students participating in Blue Day Friday were able to sign up to play soccer in the Main Gym (it was too cold to play outside on this day). In teams of eight, students joined together for some friendly competition.
Staff competed in a variety of games leading up to winter break, including a collaborative game where staff each received one part of a snowman, put on by the Culture Committee. Staff had to find other staff in the building who had the other four parts in order to complete their snowman. Once they found other staff with the missing parts they took a photo together to claim their prize.
Staff came down at the end of a school day for some winter Bingo games! Teachers joined together, had a chance to mingle with people outside of their departments, and play for prizes.
