Dear Poplar Tree Families,
We are excited to announce the installation of a new ADA accessible front door at Poplar Tree. This improvement will enhance accessibility for all members of our community, including students, staff, and visitors with disabilities.
Key Points:

Accessibility: The new door is designed to comply with ADA regulations, making it easier for individuals with mobility challenges to enter the building.

Safety: The door is equipped with a safety feature that will automatically open and close. Please be aware that once the door is completely open it will remain open for several seconds.

Doorbell Integration: The new door is directly linked to our existing doorbell system. When someone rings the doorbell, the office staff or SACC staff will follow our normal safety procedures (asking who is at the door and their purpose for visiting the school) and manually click the button to open the door.
Additional Safety Note:
The door will remain open for a few seconds to allow visitors to enter the building. Please be mindful of other visitors behind you as you enter, and ensure they do not enter the building with you.
