📢 Full-Time AAP Referrals Due December 15th! 📢
Parents of students in Grades 2-7: If you'd like your child considered for Full-Time Advanced Academic Programs, submit the AAP Full-Time Referral Form to Amneh Subhi (ahsubhi@fcps.edu) by December 15th. This annual window closes promptly, so don't delay! Forms are available on the AAP Forms Page. The process involves a local school portfolio review and a central office review by a committee. Eligibility decisions arrive by early April. Learn more on the Advanced Academic Programs website.
Referrals will not be accepted after December 15th, 2024

💪 Make a Difference with the Kids Heart Challenge! 💪
Join us for the Kids Heart Challenge and help protect kids' hearts! We'll learn about heart health, practice kindness, and raise funds to support the American Heart Association. Plus, we have a chance to earn PE equipment for Vienna ES! December 4th is our celebration, so all funds raised need to be in by then!

Managing 3-hour early release days just got simpler! Use our new Early Release Tool to confirm or update your selection. You'll need your child's 7-digit student ID (available in ParentVUE, and it's the same one your child uses for their laptop login!). We'll send reminders with the ID and tool link before each early release. No updates needed? You're good to go!

📚 Book Fair is Coming! 📚
The Bookworm Central Winter Book Fair arrives December 9th-13th! Students preview and make wish lists December 9th & 10th. Family Night is Tuesday, December 10th (4:30-7:00 PM) featuring a book signing by VES parent & author Leah Moser of her book, I Am a Thundercloud, during Family Night! Can't make Family Night? Students shop during class times Wednesday-Friday.
