Fairview News

December 9, 2024 - 3 Hour Early Release at 12:55PM!

For the upcoming early release on Monday, December 9, your child will be dismissed using the indicated dismissal route in Pick Up Patrol. If your child stayed on October 28th for the early release, we have defaulted their plan to stay again for this early release unless you notified us otherwise (this includes students going to SACC).

We will be sending your child at 12:55 via whatever is indicated in Pick Up Patrol. If your child needs to stay until 3:55, it should be reflected in Pick Up Patrol already. If you need to request a change to have your child stay until 3:55, please contact Meghan Ehrman at mrehrman@fcps.edu. Pick Up Patrol will be locked for changes from Friday December 6th at 4:15 until 4:15 on Monday, December 9th.

Please make sure to update Pickup Patrol for your child's 12:55 dismissal plan in order to ensure all students are dismissed correctly. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Planning a Playdate?

If making arrangements for a child to go home with another child, Fairview’s office needs to know separately from PickUp Patrol so that we can make sure all permission is received and can help make it happen:

  • Please email the FairviewESAttendance@fcps.edu mailbox to let us know the arrangements. This is the office mailbox for attendance and dismissal information.
  • Please copy the other parent on the email; the other parent merely needs to ‘reply all’ and we have their permission and can create a Bus Pass so that the bus driver knows where to take your child.
  • Even if your child is riding their regular bus but getting off at a different stop, the driver needs a Bus Pass.

Relying only on PickUp Patrol is not ideal because:

  • It is not reviewed until dismissal.
  • PickUp Patrol does not give any indication that the receiving parent knows another child is coming home to them.

Thank you for your help in keeping our Falcons safe!

Attention FCPS Families!

The Federal Impact Aid Survey is now available to complete online.

The Federal Impact Aid program provides money to districts that enroll federally connected students. Help FCPS secure funding from the Impact Aid Program by helping us identify:

  • Military families.
  • Federally connected families.
  • Families living on a military base.

Please complete one form for each child in your household. Remember that only the enrolling parent can fill out the Impact Aid Survey form.

For families without access to ParentVUE, a paper copy of the form will be sent home with your student starting November 13. Your information will be kept strictly confidential.

Your support will ensure that we receive the resources for which we are eligible.
