Dear Terraset Families,

We would like to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. We hope you are able to enjoy time with family and friends! FCPS schools and offices will be closed beginning Wednesday, 11/27 and will reopen on Monday, 12/2.

We are looking forward to three full weeks of school in December, however we do have our next 3 hour early release Monday on 12/9. Confirmations for each individual child’s dismissal plan will be sent on 12/3, please be on the lookout for these. We also have many fun activities to look forward to during December:  days of cheer, reptile guy assembly, skate night, and more!

Also a quick reminder: please refrain from bringing your pets with you to arrival and dismissal at the school. It is expected that we all follow the No Pets on School Grounds expectation of FCPS. Should you have any questions or concerns, we are always happy to connect.

Warmly,

Katie Aldridge, Principal

Dave Ickowski, Assistant Principal

📝AAP Screening Deadlines

2nd – 6th grade families – if you are interested in referring your child for Full Time Advanced Academic services, the Referral form, optional Parent Questionnaire, and two pages of work samples originating from home are due to me no later than December 15, 2024.  The slidedecks from both Parent Information Nights may be viewed on the Terraset home page under the AAP link. Please direct questions to Jennifer Szczesniak, jkszczesniak@fcps.edu.

🧣Coat Drive

Please help all of our Terraset Tigers stay warm this winter!

We are collecting all sizes of clean, good condition coats, boots, hats, gloves, and scarves. Please drop off items in the bin located in the Main Office. Thank you!

🍽️Food Allergies Cafeteria Form

Starting School Year 2024-2025, the Office of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) implemented a standardized process for dietary accommodations to ensure the provision of safe and healthy food for our students. If your child will need a medical accommodation (food allergies, texture modifications, or other dietary needs) or a milk substitution in the cafeteria, this a reminder to submit your completed accommodation form if you have not already done so. This form only needs to be filled out once while your child is enrolled at FCPS.  The completed form should be sent to dietary.forms.fns@fcps.edu.

More information including the form can be found here. If you have any questions, please contact FCPS Food and Nutrition Services at:  703-813-4800
