WOLF SHACK & RACK - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
PACKING FAMILY DECEMBER HOLIDAY FOOD BAGS
We will be packing family food bags for the upcoming December holidays and we need student and adult volunteers! We will be packing on Thursday, December 5th from 5-6pm in the Wolf Shack. Service hours for all volunteer time! Please sign up to help at jhsptsa.org/wolfshacksignup. Bags will be distributed from the Wolf Shack the weeks of December 9th & 16th.
WOLF RACK STUDENT VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS
The Wolf Rack is the FREE clothing shop operated outside the Wolf Shack, where students can pick up gently used t-shirts, pants, hoodies, dresses/formal wear, shoes, athletic wear and other items. The Wolf Rack has limited space so we are asking for season-specific clothing donations (Fall/Winter) geared toward high-school aged students. Outerwear like coats, jackets, hats etc are also very welcome donations. Donations can be dropped off in the front office of the school - just make sure to mark them for the "Wolf Shack."
We are also looking for student volunteers on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3-5pm (1 or 2 hours) to help organize the clothing donations and manage the Wolf Rack shop. Service hours for all volunteer time, of course! Please sign up to help at jhsptsa.org/wolfshacksignup
The Wolf Shack is our PTSA-sponsored in-school food and resource pantry available to all Justice students.
You can support the Wolf Shack anytime and in many ways:
- Drop-off or have any donation delivered to the front office of JHS (just label with "PTSA Wolf Shack")
- Purchase directly from our Amazon wish-list and deliver straight to the school (jhsptsa.org/wolfshackwishlist)
- Make a financial donation which allows us to fill urgent needs as they arise (jhsptsa.org/wolfshackfund)
- Organize a food and toiletry drive through your community, church, clubs and/or service organizations
Email wolfshack@justicehsptsa.org with any questions!
TITLE I SURVEY: WE NEED YOUR INPUT!
We need your feedback on Justice High School's new status as a Title I school. Please see the FCPS webpage HERE for more general information on Title I in FCPS (it can also be found on Justice’s website linked here).
We’re breaking our work around Title I down into three core groups – Student Success, Family Partnerships, and School Experience. You will find questions below on all three topics. The PTSA collaborated with Principal Sean Rolon to create this survey, and will continue to work with him as results come in. Please note, this may be the first in a series of surveys sent to our community regarding the Title I process, and we greatly appreciate your collaboration as we look to leverage our Title I to increase student achievement, family engagement, and the school experience.
Should you have any questions, please contact Dr. Sean Rolon, Principal, sprolon@fcps.edu and/or Kim Lanoue, Justice HS PTSA President, at president@justicehsptsa.org. The links to the survey are below and are in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Surveys will remain open until Friday, December 20.
