Dear Dragons,

A big congratulations to our Science Olympiad team for their outstanding performance this past weekend! Their hard work and dedication, guided by Ms. Ariel, truly shone as they showcased their incredible engineering skills. We are so proud of you!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Learning Under the Stars on November 14th, an evening designed for our PreK–2nd graders and their families. We appreciate the many teachers who volunteered their time to demonstrate ways for parents to support learning in Language Arts and Math at home. Your partnership means so much to us!

We are also thrilled to announce the formation of our newly chartered Parent Teacher Association (PTA)! Please join us in congratulating the PTA board:

  • Jonathan Barrera, President
  • Britt Williams, Kristy DiOrio, and Jessica Molina, Co-Vice Presidents
  • Nigel Walker and Geraldine Bundell, Co-Treasurers
  • Nathan Whitmer, Secretary

The PTA offers a fantastic opportunity to stay connected and involved in our school community. We hope you will all become members! Congratulations to our new board, and thank you for your leadership!

Thank you for always partnering,

Kate Beckner

Proud Principal

Impact Aid Forms in Thursday Folders

The Federal Impact Aid Program directly compensates local school districts, like Fairfax County Public Schools, that have been financially impacted by federal activities.  To ensure FCPS receives compensation due, all schools are required to have its families complete the annual Federal Impact Aid Survey form.  You can complete the form in two ways--online in ParentVUE or by paper copy.  The Survey will be available in ParentVUE through the end of January 2025.  Paper copies of the Survey will be coming home in this week’s Thursday folder and are due back to school by Friday, December 6, 2024

Please follow the directions in each numbered section of the form and provide a signature and date at the bottom of the form.  We appreciate your timely completion of the Survey.  Please contact Susie Livingood, Office Assistant, at 703-262-3100 with any questions.
