Planning to travel for Thanksgiving? A reminder that students are expected to be in school on November 25 and 26. Travel arrangements should be made that allow students to attend school on these days, as travel is not an excused absence, per FCPS. November 27, 28, 29 are the days school is not in session.

Sophomore Academic Award Ceremony
- Thursday November 21 - during Advisory.
- Students who earned a 4.0 or higher GPA during last school year at Madison have been invited to the PTSA Sophomore Academic Awards Ceremony. The invite went to their school email address. Parents will receive an email with a link to watch the ceremony virtually - 9:45-10:20 Thursday.
Junior/Senior Academic Award Ceremony
- Monday November 25 - during Advisory.
- Students who earned a 4.0 or higher GPA during last school year at Madison, earned National Merit Commended or Semi-finalist status will be invited to the PTSA Junior/Senior Academic Awards Ceremony. The invite will go to their school email address. Parents will receive an email with a link to watch the ceremony virtually - 9:45-10:20 Monday 11/25.
Student Attendance Summary- Coming Soon!
- In the next few weeks we will be sending out a personalized Attendance Summary to each student and family. We recognize that there are a variety of reasons that students are absent and this summary will be for informational purposes only. Please reach out to your student’s counselor or visit this FCPS resource on Encouraging School Attendance if you need additional support.
Federal Impact Aid Forms
- Impact Aid Forms are available in SIS ParentVUE and paper copies were sent home with all students that have not completed an online form. Please complete the form as soon as possible.
Winter Clothing Drive
- The Madison High School/JMHS PTSA winter clothing drive has begun! Please consider signing up to support Madison students in need of winter clothing. Donations may be brought to Madison High School main office starting Wednesday, November 6th through Monday, December 16th. Donation drop-off times are weekdays from 8am-4pm. Donors can sign up here. Any questions can be directed to Bethany Slingerland at bsslingerlan@fcps.edu. Thank you, as always, for the generosity and kindness the Madison community demonstrates towards our students!
