Help Make Our Thanksgiving Luncheon a Success!

Our Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon is just around the corner, and we’re so excited to welcome you to share a festive meal with your child(ren) while celebrating the spirit of the season. This cherished tradition brings our school community together, but we need your help to make it happen!

Currently, we have no volunteers signed up, and we can’t pull this off without the support of our amazing Westbriar parents. Your time and effort are essential to ensuring this event is enjoyable for everyone.

Event Details:

  • Wednesday, November 20: Grades 4–6
  • Thursday, November 21: Grades K–3
  • Lunch Costs:
    • Adults: $4.75
    • Children: $3.25
    • CASH ONLY – Please bring exact change if possible. Extra change can be donated to our PTA.

After lunch, head to the library for our Book Fair, where families can shop together and continue the fun!

Volunteer Roles Needed:

  1. Set-Up: Help prepare the lunchroom and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  2. Serving Assistance: Assist with ticket sales, meal distribution, and keeping things running smoothly during lunch.
  3. Clean-Up: Help reset the lunchroom to prepare for the next day.

Why Volunteer?

  • Volunteering is a meaningful way to be involved in your child’s school experience.
  • It’s a great opportunity to meet other parents and build connections within the WES community.
  • Most importantly, you’ll be helping to create lasting memories for our students and families.

How to Sign Up: Please sign up here to volunteer for the Thanksgiving Luncheon. Even just an hour of your time can make a big difference!

Let’s work together to keep this beloved tradition alive. If we don’t get enough volunteers, the event may not run as smoothly as we’d hope. We know we can count on our amazing Westbriar families to make this year’s luncheon a success.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to celebrating with you next week!

Exciting Author Visits at Westbriar!

We’re thrilled to announce that author Laura Murray will be visiting Westbriar to meet with our Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students on Friday, December 16! To celebrate her visit, we’ll feature a special “Author Event” table at our upcoming Book Fair with her books available for purchase. Additional copies will arrive next week to ensure every interested student can get a copy.

Although Laura won’t be signing books in person, she has provided pre-signed bookplates. Students in K-3 who bring their books on the day of her visit or in the days following can receive a book plate to place inside, making it a memorable keepsake.

For our upper-elementary students, we’re excited to announce that author John Auxier will be visiting in January! More details about his visit will be shared soon.

Look for more information at the book fair and in your child’s virtual Wednesday folder. We’re looking forward to these inspiring author visits!
