Pyramid Challenge

Dear Mighty Red Bird Families,

As we prepare for the Thanksgiving break, we want to extend our heartfelt wishes to each of you for a peaceful and joyful holiday. Next week, there will be no school from Wednesday through Friday to allow everyone time to recharge, reconnect, and enjoy the warmth of family and friends.

This past Saturday, our school proudly participated in the West Springfield Pyramid Challenge. It was a wonderful day filled with friendly competition, laughter, and school spirit, set against the backdrop of perfect autumn weather. Watching students from local elementary schools race alongside our spirited mascots and cheering crowds was inspiring. We’re grateful to our students, families, staff, and our dedicated PTA for bringing this event to life and for helping create such special memories.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to invite you to our Friends and Family Lunch TOMORROW, November 21st. This event is a cherished tradition and a chance to gather as a community to celebrate our incredible students. Please see the schedule below for specific lunch times, and know that we look forward to welcoming you into our school family for this meaningful gathering. Please also join us for Turkey Bingo Friday evening!

With warm regards and gratitude,

Ms. Drake, Mrs. Agner, and Mrs. Long

Federal Impact Aid Survey

Please be sure to sign in your SIS ParentVUE account to complete this important survey.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is eligible for federal Impact Aid grants due to the federal presence in our area. The grants from these programs will become part of FCPS' general operating budget. They are critical to ensuring that students receive an excellent education. FCPS anticipates receiving approximately $3,000,000 in Impact Aid funds.

FCPS uses the survey for Federal Impact Aid to identify federally connected students. On October 18th, the survey will be made available to FCPS families. The survey is available online through ParentVue. Families without ParentVUE can request a paper copy of the survey from their child's school. FCPS staff will process the information with the utmost confidentiality.
