📅 Full-Time AAP Referrals Due December 15th 📅
The deadline for full-time AAP referrals is approaching! Please submit all required materials, including the referral form, optional parent questionnaire, and optional work samples (limit two single-sided pages), to Mrs. Subhi by December 15th, 2024. Referrals will not be accepted after this date. AAP forms are available on the FCPS AAP website. Contact Mrs. Subhi with any questions.

👋 VES Volunteers: Important Background Check Reminder! 👋
Thanks for all you do for our students! To ensure everyone's safety, FCPS has a two prong approach to safely welcome volunteers, requiring an annual background check and fingerprinting.
Good news: FCPS covers the cost!
Bad news: You will not be able to volunteer until your background check is approved and you have completed the fingerprinting process.
If you volunteer at VES routinely (library, classroom reading groups, Great Arts, etc.), you'll need to complete a background check for the 2024-2025 school year. Haven't started yet? Email Lauren Brownlee (ldbrownlee@fcps.edu) with your name and email address to get the process rolling. Your badge expires June 30th each year, so don't delay!
💪 Make a Difference with the Kids Heart Challenge! 💪
Join us for the Kids Heart Challenge and help protect kids' hearts! We'll learn about heart health, practice kindness, and raise funds to support the American Heart Association. Plus, we have a chance to earn PE equipment for Vienna ES! December 4th is our celebration, so all funds raised need to be in by then!

You'll need your child's 7-digit student ID (available in ParentVUE, and it's the same one your child uses for their laptop login!). We'll send reminders with the ID and tool link before each early release. No updates needed? You're good to go!
