A Message from the PTA President

Dear Hunt Valley Families,

Thank you for joining us at our PTA Meeting yesterday. There was a lot of great information shared and upcoming events happening. Thank you to our special guests, Mrs. Dawn Lawson and Mrs. Stephanie Lady for providing a spotlight into the STEAM and Computer Science program and pictures of the activities that go on inside the classroom.

We also passed the motion to approve a $1000 budget increase towards the Teacher and Staff Appreciation specifically providing mini massages to all teachers and staff during one of the December days of cheer organized by the administration, in addition to a potluck luncheon and sweet shoppe. You can find the STEAM lab pictures, the November meeting slide deck, and latest budget posted on the PTA website here: hvpta.ptboard.com/activity.

A special thank you to our amazing PTA hospitality committee for organizing a DIY trail mix bar on Oct 31 and celebrating the end of quarter 1. Thank you, Jillian Inoyue (Chair), Megan Collmus, Brittany Faulkner, Jessica Urbon, and Meredith Stankiewicz.

The Pyramid Challenge is this Saturday and we need your help to ensure this event is a success. Volunteer sign ups can be found here: Sign up under the Hunt Valley table.

The Reflections Program is underway and we’re looking for all artists from all levels! The submission box is looking a bit light with receiving only 3 entries so far. The submission deadline has been extended to Nov 26. It seems you have a higher chance of winning 1st place and that $20 gift card. Submit your entries and reach out to the Reflections Chair, Daphne Huber at Reflections@huntvalleypta.org with any questions.

The spelling bee is looking for more spellers. All levels are welcomed. So far, we have 9 interested participants. We may consider hosting an adult spelling bee for fun as a PTA event and let the students be the judges :).

If you need anything, please reach out to President@huntvalleypta.org or info@huntvalleypta.org.

Sincerely,

Iris Stoyanov
