Dear Terraset Families,

We hope everyone had a nice long weekend and would like to thank all of our Tiger Family Veterans for their service! As a school community we enjoyed learning more about and celebrating the important contributions of our Veterans.

marina chavez otoya

Please join us in welcoming our new family liaison, Marina Chavez! We are thrilled to have Ms. Chavez with us in her new role. The family liaison works in the school and community to help all families get the information and assistance they need to support their children and to ensure academic success. They also welcome and orient families who are new to the school and community, help connect families to resources, and encourage family-school partnerships. Ms. Chavez brings much experience in these areas and is currently a bilingual (English/Spanish) Terraset parent herself. Ms. Chavez has been with us as our dining room assistant since the beginning of this school year and will remain in that role in addition to her new role as family liaison. Feel free to reach out to say hello or with any questions you may have at  imchavezotoy@fcps.edu or 703-390-5614.

Warmly,

Katie Aldridge, Principal

Dave Ickowski, Assistant Principal

🗳️ Return Your Federal Impact Aid Survey

FCPS is asking all families to complete a Federal Impact Aid Survey as soon as possible. The form is available in ParentVUE under Online Packets (in the upper right corner after logging in).

Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is important. Information from this survey resulted in more than $4 million in funding last year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For more information, please watch this video on Impact Aid and visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page.
