Urgent Call for Support: Roadrunner Giving Campaign!
Dear Roadrunner Families,
We urgently need your support for our ANNUAL Roadrunner Giving Campaign! This is your chance to make a significant impact on our school and the programs the PTA supports.
Donations are crucial for continuing the activities that benefit our students and teachers. We know many of you are generous, and we’re counting on your support to help us reach our goals!
Exciting Incentives:
- If 40% of families donate, we’ll celebrate with a School-Wide Pajama Day!
- At 50%, all students will enjoy Popsicles!
- If we reach 60%, we’ll throw a School-Wide Dance Party!

Annual Sister School Food Drive, Nov 18-22
Help feed families in need from our sister school – Glen Forest Elementary. Donate non-perishable canned or boxed food to the annual food drive.
The items in greatest demand are:
- Rice
- Pasta/ Mac n’ Cheese
- Masa Flour
- Cooking Oil
- Canned Beans
- Canned Vegetables/Fruit
- Canned soup
- Peanut butter
- Cereal
Please check the expiration dates on your donations. No expired food will be accepted.
The collection boxes for food donations will be located outside the main entrance of GFES and inside the main lobby from November 18-22. All donations will be delivered to Glen Forest on November 22.
The need for donations is very high this year. Many families at Glen Forest Elementary are struggling with food insecurity. Every donation makes a difference! Thank you for your generous support.
Want to help with the food drive? We are looking for parent volunteers to help sort, package and deliver the donations to Glen Forest Elementary. Email communityoutreach@gfespta.com with questions or to volunteer.

Diversity Showcase Theme: "Celebrating the World: A Tapestry of Holidays and Traditions"
This holiday season, we invite you to embark on a vibrant journey through the rich tapestry of global celebrations, showcasing the unique customs, traditions, and festive spirit that span cultures, continents, and communities. "Celebrating the World: A Taperstry of Holidays and Traditions" is an opportunity to explore how different cultures honor the season of giving, reflection, and renewal.
Join us on December 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as we come together to share traditions, stories, music, dance, and food from our community’s holidays and traditions.
This year’s theme emphasizes how these diverse practices—whether through food, music, dance, storytelling, or ritual—serve as bridges to connection, building understanding across cultures. We are looking for families to share their traditions by showcasing them in one of 20 available booths or through a presentation (performance, storytelling, reading a book, etc.). The sky’s the limit!
In addition to the booths and presentations, concessions will be available, with cash preferred for ease of purchase.

Winter Coat Drive for Embry Rucker Shelter & the Hunter Mill District Coat Closet – Thank You!
THANK YOU for the generous donations to our 2024 Winter Coat Drive! By working together, we donated over 175 coats, hats and gloves to the Embry Rucker Shelter and the Hunter Mill Coat Closet! The winter clothing we collected will help keep children and adults in need in our community warm this winter. Thank you for the generous donations and support!
 
Fall Festival was a HUGE SUCCESS!!
The GFES PTA wants to extend an enormous THANK YOU to all the students and families who attended this year’s Fall Festival! It was so wonderful to see everyone and we hope you had an amazing time!
A huge thank you to all of the AMAZING volunteers who helped set up, supervise games and activities, work the concessions table (especially working the cotton candy machine), and clean up. We could not have pulled off such a wonderful event without you! A special shout out to Jodi Piepkorn, our Fall Festival chair, who did an amazing job organizing this year’s event!
Additional thanks to the businesses that help support the Fall Festival: Pots & Plants, Chez Francois, Oliver’s Corner Butcher Shop, BRX, Great Dogs of Great Falls, RTR Pilates, Deli Italiano, Subway, Thelo Greek, and Kaylnn’s Nail Spa! Finally, thank you to our participating food trucks: Smoking Kow BBQ, Flynn’s Pizza, and Scuttlebutt Bakeshop! We hope you enjoyed the delicious food and treats!

GFES PTA Spirit Day with Chick-Fil-A
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who enjoyed breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at Chick-Fil-A on Friday, Nov. 8th for our Spirit Event! We had a great turnout and it was wonderful to get to see our Great Falls community both inside Chick-Fil-A and in the drive-thru line! Thank you to everyone that stopped by to say hi and picked up a GFES magnet or decorated our mural!
As a special bonus, we also provided a delicious Chick-Fil-A lunch on Friday to our wonderful teachers and staff!
We will announce the winning class of the in-store contest soon!!

Still need to get your flu shot? You can do that on-site with Safeway Pharmacy! Just bring your insurance card.
PLUS a Fire Truck will be there 11-12noon for kids to learn and explore!
