Appian Board Games Club - Splendor Tournament
This past Saturday, KJMS Appian Board Games Club hosted a countywide Splendor tournament. Over 20 players from 7 FCPS Middle Schools competed for some big prizes. KJMS was the top team with 4 players advancing to the final round of 8 players.
Thanks to all who made this tournament a success.
Appian Board Games Club will resume meeting in January and will be open to new members as we prepare for our next tournament!
KJMS Cross Country Banquet
KJMS Cross Country celebrated the end of a successful season this past Thursday evening! Thank you to the runners, families and coaches who made this our best season to date. We hope everyone will return for the Spring Track and Field season!
KJMS Spelling Bee
KJMS will host a school Spelling Bee in February! Champions from the KJMS School Spelling Bee will have the opportunity to compete in the Fairfax County Spelling Bee in March 2025.

Pickleball Club will meet on Thursdays from 2:30-4:00.
We will have open play as well as tournament play.
We will play in the main gym or outside (weather permitting).

On Wednesday, November 13th, we will celebrate a successful 1st Quarter of After-School! The celebration will take place from 2:15-3:00pm in the cafeteria.
We will be serving Chik-Fil-A sandwiches and a soda to any student who had 16+ After-School sign-in days during the 1st Quarter. There will also be prizes and raffles that all students will have a chance at winning!
Have your student check the After-School Schoology Course to see if they had 16 or more after-school sign-in days during the 1st Quarter.
 KJMS Futsal will have 1 Boys Team and 1 Girls Team to compete in the Western Fairfax Middle School Futsal League this Winter.
Tryouts - Will take place in the KJMS Gym from 2:30-4:30.
Students should signup for 2 tryout dates:
Nov. 19, 22, 26
Dec. 3, 6, 10
On December 13th, selected players will be invited to a final tryout (Callback Tryout)
Practices - Will take place in the KJMS Gym from 2:30-4:30.
Tuesday/Friday Practices Begin 12/17
Please note, there are no late buses on Tuesdays.
Games - Will take place on Thursday evenings - locations subject to change

Door 7 (near the cafeteria) is the location for pickup during After-School hours. Feel free to text your student when you arrive so they can meet you outside Door 7.
