Dear London Towne Family,
In an effort to make sure everyone in the London Towne community is aware of our School Improvement and Innovation plan this year, please see below for London Towne’s academic achievement goals in the focus areas of literacy and math for the 2024-2025 school year.
London Towne Elementary Literacy Goal: By June 2025, the percentage of all students in grades 3-6 demonstrating proficiency in Reading as measured by the Reading SOL test will increase by at least 5 percentage points.
London Towne Elementary Mathematics Goal: By June 2025, the percentage of all students in grades 3-6 demonstrating proficiency in Math as measured by the Mathematics SOL test will increase by at least 5 percentage points.
Additionally, London Towne’s Title 1 Family Compact outlines how we plan to partner with our community to achieve the goals above. It is currently in draft form and we would appreciate the community’s feedback.
Please take a moment to give us feedback on the School Improvement and Innovation Plan and the Family Compact by using the links below. We look forward to hearing from you!

Federal Impact Aid Survey |
⭐ Return Your Federal Impact Aid Survey
FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. The form is available online in SIS ParentVUE. If you have not already filled out the form online, we will provide paper forms in November. Please be sure to return them by Friday, November 17.
Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is important, because information from this survey resulted in more than $4 million in funding last year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
You can complete one of these ways:
- Online through ParentVue
- On paper:
- Request a paper copy of the survey from their child's school. FCPS staff will process the information with the utmost confidentiality.
Please watch this video and visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page for more information. Need to Register for ParentVUE?

🤒 When a Student Should Stay Home From School
Whether students miss school because of illness or any other reason, missing school leads to learning loss.
Help your child succeed by encouraging them to attend as many days as possible, but do make sure your child stays home if they are sick. Visit our website for information on when to keep your child at home.
If your child has a chronic illness, make sure to notify their teacher so that assistance can be provided if needed. Keep an open line of communication with your school's public health staff.

Native American Heritage Month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native Americans. It is also a time to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges they have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.
