Haycock Hello 10.28.24

kid

Dear Haycock Families,

Thank you to our fifth grade team and the almost 60 parents who planned, chaperoned, and helped to make the annual overnight field trip to Camp Highroad an amazing experience for our fifth graders.

We are very proud to have been named a Purple Star school.  See details below.

Please make sure that you have completed the Impact Aid Form in ParentVUE.  We need a completed form for every student at Haycock.

We are finishing the first quarter strong. We know many of you have already had your parent-teacher conferences and teachers are continuing to meet with every parent through November 4 and 5 which are teacher work days.  Teachers use these days to complete report cards, meet with parents, and plan quality instruction for our students.

We are excited for the beginning of the second quarter!

With appreciation for your partnership,

Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu

Heather Boyd, AP   HABoyd@fcps.edu

Krystal Styles, AP   krstyles@fcps.edu

Book Character Dress Up Day (optional)

Also a 2 hour release at 2:05 for the end of Q1

On Thursday, October 31, we will celebrate Book Character Day.  Our Kindergarten students will parade around the school dressed as their favorite book characters, and all students are welcome to dress as their favorite book character if they so choose that day.  We ask that students do not wear masks that cover their entire face and that they bring no weapon like accessories. We will continue with instruction on that day and want our students to be able to focus and continue their learning.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

There is no afterschool supervision for students this day except for students who attend SACC.
