Fall Festival is THIS SATURDAY, OCT 26th!
Join the Roadrunner community for the GFES PTA’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26th from 12-4pm. Tickets are $12 per person if purchased in advance online ($14 in person), and all attendees ages 4 and up are required to have a ticket. We have many fun games, crafts, activities, food trucks, and more planned for this year’s festival! We can’t wait to see you there!
Food trucks will include (click for menu):
- Smoking Kow BBQ
- Flynn's Wood Fired Pizza
- Scuttlebutt Bakeshop
Some highlights for this year are:
- Face Painter and Glitter Tattoo Artist
- Live Music
- Obstacle Course and Giant Slide
- Touch-A-Fire Truck!
- Cake Walk
For an additional cost, you can also do the following:
- Build your own flower bouquet
- Cupcake decorating
- Pumpkin decorating -- pre-purchased tickets only
As with all PTA Events, Fall Festival is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fall Festival Volunteers Needed!
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE Fall Festival amazing! This is one of our biggest events of the year, and it cannot happen without our supportive Roadrunner community. If you are interested in helping on the day of the event, there are many ways to help. We will need help with:
- Clean Up
- Activity Stations
- Concessions
- Cake Walk Donations
We would love to have middle school and high school student volunteers for our activity stations! We will sign for service hours.

GFES Winter Coat Drive
The GFES Winter Coat Drive has been extended to Monday, October 28! Don’t forget to check your closets over the weekend for gently used clean coats that no longer fit to donate.
Please place your new or gently used clean coats and NEW hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves in the collection bins located outside the main entrance and in the main lobby by Monday.
The greatest need this year is for children’s coats, newborn – teen sizes, and very large women’s and men’s coats 2XL+.
Every donation makes a difference! Thank you for your generous support.
Annual Reflections Contest
The Reflections program helps students with both art appreciation and helps boost their confidence in their own artistic abilities. Each year over 300,000 students in pre-K through 12th grade create original works of art based on a given theme.
Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts.
Submission deadline has been extended until November 8, 2024.
The Dropbox submission link has recently been updated, so if you had trouble submitting prior to October 20, please be sure to try again or contact our Reflections chairperson at reflections@gfespta.com

Roadrunner Giving Campaign!!
We urgently need your support for our ANNUAL Roadrunner Giving Campaign! This is your chance to make a significant impact on our school and the programs the PTA supports.
Donations are crucial for continuing the activities that benefit our students and teachers. We know many of you are generous, and we’re counting on your support to help us reach our goals!
Exciting Incentives:

Donate $250 by November 31st for a chance to be PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY!
- If 40% of families donate, we’ll celebrate with a School-Wide Pajama Day!
- At 50%, all students will enjoy Popsicles!
- If we reach 60%, we’ll throw a School-Wide Dance Party!

GFES PTA Spirit Day - Chick-fil-A on Nov 8th!
Come join the PTA on Friday November 8th for our first Spirit Day of the 2024-2025 school year! Our spirit day will be with the North Point Village Chick-Fil-A (1494 North Point Village Center, Reston, VA 20194)! You can order by placing a mobile pickup, dine-in, Drive-thru, or curbside order from 6am - 10pm.
There will be a SPECIAL IN-STORE time to enter your receipts for the classroom contest from 6:00 - 8:00pm! Write your TEACHER’S name on the back of the receipt and put it in the bucket. Winning class will receive a surprise!
The PTA will also be in store from 6:00-8:00pm with some fun goodies! Please stop by and say hi!!
You get to enjoy a great meal or snack and the PTA will receive 25% of all sales when you use the code 'ROADRUNNER' while using the Chick-Fil-A app. If you are dining in or ordering through the drive-thru, mention you are ordering for the Great Falls PTA spirit event for the PTA to receive 25% of sales!
Unfortunately, the Chick-Fil-A app does not allow you to input the code for delivery orders!

The Spooktacular has moved to the Sunday before Halloween!
It's no trick- same beloved tradition, just on a different day! Join us on Sunday, October 27th from 5-7pm. Dress up and come to the Village Centre Green to trick-or-treat with Celebrate Great Falls sponsors, local merchants, and community organizations in a safe environment right in the heart of town. The whole family can visit the Haunted House, enjoy spooky music and have your picture taken.
