đź“… CALENDAR REMINDERS

Tomorrow, Monday, October 28, we have a 3-hour early release. You should have received confirmation on Friday regarding your student’s dismissal plan, either leaving at 1:05 p.m. or staying at SVES until 4:05 p.m. Coordinating these plans for each student is a significant effort, and we thank you for confirming with us.

Please avoid making changes to your child's dismissal plan unless absolutely necessary. Last-minute adjustments created confusion during the last dismissal, impacting students, teachers, and the office. Our priority is student safety, and your support helps keep the process smooth and secure on Monday.

Additional Calendar Reminders:

  • Wednesday, October 30: PTA Before School Enrichment
  • Thursday, October 31: 2-Hour Early Release (End of 1st Quarter)
  • Friday, November 1: Holiday (Diwali, Dia de los Muertos, and All Saints Day)
  • Monday, November 4: Student Holiday/School Planning Day
  • Tuesday, November 5: Election Day: Student Holiday/Teacher Workday
  • Wednesday, November 6: PTA Before School Enrichment
  • Monday, November 11: Holiday (Veterans Day)

âś… Return Your Federal Impact Aid Survey

FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. The form is available in SIS ParentVUE under Online Packets (in the upper right corner after logging in). Please complete it as soon as possible.

Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is important. Information from this survey resulted in more than $4 million in funding last year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For more information, please watch this video on Impact Aid and visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page.
