Hello BVES Families,
What an awesome red ribbon spirit week, culminating with our Fun Run this past Thursday! Thank you to all who supported, volunteered, or sponsored this tremendous fundraising event. This event raises money for community events, field trips, assemblies, school equipment and technology and more. We are accepting donations until Tuesday, October 29th.
This edition of the Bobcat Beat is pretty lengthy, with information on STEAM Night, Thanksgiving Luncheon, and Teacher Breakfast Sign Ups. Please take a few minutes to read and volunteer if you can.
As a reminder, we will not be dismissing students from the office after 3:30. If you need to make a change for dismissal call the office and/or email the classroom teacher before 3:00pm.
Employee award season is in full effect! If you want to recognize and nominate a specific staff member for their hand work and dedication to student learning, please submit nominations for an excellence award here!
Proud Principal,
Katie Pluntke

Join Us for STEAM Night!
We’re excited to announce an upcoming STEAM Night—a hands-on event where students and families explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through fun activities. It’s a great way to dive into the world of STEAM and spark curiosity!
Date & Time: Thursday, November 7 from 5:30-7pm Location: BVES Café and Gym
We are also looking for middle and high school volunteers to help make this event a success! Volunteering is a great way to earn service hours, gain leadership experience, and contribute to your community. Volunteers will assist with activity stations. Directions and materials will be provided.

Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence.
