Join Us for a Parent Education Event on October 24

"Have Fun and Do Your Best" 

Supporting and preparing children for competitive events 

Join Sally Neuberger, LCSW-C, for a frank and fast Zoom workshop on parenting children as they navigate the fun and fear of competition. From theater auditions to competitive clubs, contests, and sports teams, children can learn from these experiences and learn about themselves! This workshop will also discuss how to support neurotypical and neurodiverse children in navigating these valuable life experiences.

Short ($15) and long-sleeve ($25) shirts available in youth and adult sizes.

Order by October 25.

The PTA will distribute the shirts in late November.

Food 4 Thought

Food 4 Thought is a PTA-sponsored initiative to help students in need with healthy, shelf-stable food for the weekends and school-day snacks.

Volunteer: Help deliver food bags and snacks to classrooms. Sign up here. 

Donate to our Pantry: Check out our Amazon wish list. Donations can be dropped off in the box outside the main office, or Amazon purchases can be shipped directly to the school (choose the Food 4 Thought gift registry address).

Specific pantry items needed include:

  • Gift cards to grocery stores, Costco, or Amazon
  • Shelf-stable white milk (single servings)
  • Vegetarian soups and meals

SLHS Movie Night November 12

 

South Lakes High School Movie Night

SLHS Leadership is excited to invite your school community to our first annual Movie Night at South Lakes High School! We will be showing Hotel Transylvania and will also have games for kids to participate in before the movie starts. Entry to the event is free! The only cost associated with this event would be the purchase of any concessions. Below are all the details for the event!

When: Tuesday, November 12th, 7pm 

Where: South Lakes High School Stadium 

What to bring: Please bring chairs/blankets to sit on. We encourage you to bring your friends and family, and feel free to come bundled up in your favorite cozy pajamas!

Elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult.
