Hornet Happenings
Week of October 14th-18th
Itās Digital Citizenship Week at Halley Elementary!Ā To recognize the importance of safety and responsibility when using technology we have incorporated a Halley Spirit Week!Ā A calendar of spirit week events was sent via your childās classroom teacherās newsletter.Ā At the beginning of the school year, every student at Halley in grades K-6 engaged in digital citizenship lessons to ensure a successful school year as it relates to digital technology.Ā We encourage all families to keep digital citizenship a priority during your regular conversations with your child.Ā Technology is all around us and our goal is to keep our students safe while exploring its vast variety of tools.
Our Halley PTO is hosting a Hornet Dine Out at Chipotle this evening from 5:00-9:00 PM.Ā Please look below in the section titled: PTO in the Know for details.
Letās have a great week Hornet Nation!!

We're accepting nominations for Outstanding Employee from October 14th to 31st. Nominate teachers and staff using this Google Form, https://forms.gle/akaitUJsQJ1zvGAT9 . You can submit a nomination for each category, you will just need to submit a new form for each nomination .
Whether it's a teacher who has fostered a love of learning, a school counselor who has provided invaluable guidance, or a support staff member who has always gone the extra mile, we want to hear about them.
Not sure which category would be the best fit? Don't hesitate to reach out to Nicole Kendall, Carol Poblete, or Jennifer Buchko for assistance. Let's come together to celebrate the incredible individuals who make Halley a special place.
