PES Book Fair - October 21-25

The annual fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the PES Library! Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.

  • Preview days: Monday and Tuesday October 21 & 22, classes visit together
  • School day sales: Wednesday through Friday October 23 - 25, teachers send students with shopping money or eWallets during class (sales close Friday at 11:00.)
  • Evening family hours: Wednesday and Thursday October 23 & 24, 6:00 - 7:30pm

As we wait for the big event, there is plenty to explore and learn.

  • Visit our own Scholastic book fair site to explore Scholastic book offerings or set up eWallet as an alternative to sending cash with your child.
  • Check out our page on Share the Fair, formerly known as All for Books. Learn how to make an online donation or help your kids participate in our exciting fundraising week, the classroom Coin Challenge competition.
  • Sign up to volunteer!
  • Or get into all the details on our FAQ page including how your child will experience the fair.

Students receive instruction in a human growth and development unit and an emotional and social health unit.  For more information about the FCPS Family Life Education program, please see the detailed grade-level program descriptions on the FCPS website.  In addition, grade level-specific curriculum lessons are available for review online in Schoology.  Parents/guardians can login to Schoology using the same username and password as their Student Information System (SIS) and find the materials in the All Parents/Guardians course in the “Parent Preview-FLE Instruction” folder.
