The Principals' Message

Hello CES Community,

Yesterday, our student-led Green Team held its inaugural meeting, and the turnout was incredible! Approximately 90 students were in attendance, demonstrating their passion for environmental sustainability. This dedicated group has been at the forefront of all CES Green initiatives. Additionally, we held a Bullying Prevention assembly yesterday. Our sincere thanks to the PTA for sponsoring this valuable program.

On Monday, several of our talented orchestra students had the honor of performing for an Honor Flight. An Honor Flight is when a non-profit organization transports veterans to Washington, D.C., at no cost, so they can visit the memorials honoring their service. Ms. Henry and Ms. Venne accompanied our students as they played at Dulles Airport for a group of Texas veterans returning home. It was a truly inspiring experience for everyone involved.

This upcoming Monday we will be hosting Family Fitness at 8:15 AM in the gym. We had a great turnout last time, so let's keep up the momentum!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our cheerleading program here at CES! If your child is in grades 3-6, and interested in joining the team, please click HERE to access the form. All forms are due by October 31.

On Friday, November 8th, 2024 Centreville Elementary School would like to honor veterans and their families with a special event at our school for Veterans Day.  We will have a luncheon prepared in your honor that you will be able to enjoy with your student(s) at CES.  Any relatives of our CES students who are veterans are welcome to join us in our event.  In addition, families who have a deployed family member are also welcome to join us. We also would like to invite you to read to students in classrooms around our building.  This is a great opportunity for our students to learn about how you have served and to show their appreciation for your service.  If interested, veterans may choose between two time slots to be a guest reader in several classrooms around the school.  Choice 1 will be 10:45am - 12:15pm reading in classrooms and Choice 2 will be 1:15pm – 2:45pm reading in classrooms.  Lunch for all guest readers and their children will be provided from 12:15pm - 1:15pm. Thank you so much for your service.  We hope many veterans will be able to attend this special event at CES.   If you are interested, please sign up using this form: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C45AEAE2AA1FC1-52337954-centreville
