Message from the Principal

Powell families,

As we continue to celebrate Indigenous People’s Month, I want to take a moment to acknowledge one of our 4th grade students, Theodore, for creating a beautiful display for our YOUseum that honors Indigenous cultures and traditions.

Theodore’s display is both informative and inspiring, and it serves as a reminder of the rich history and diverse cultures of Indigenous peoples. We are grateful for Theodore’s dedication and creativity in creating this meaningful tribute.

Thank you for your support and participation in our Indigenous People’s Month celebrations.

Warmly,
Jamie Luerssen

Kiss & Ride!

As the school year continues, we want to remind everyone of the importance of driving slowly and safely in the Kiss & Ride parking lot. Students, parents, and staff walk across the parking lot to get to their cars, and we need to ensure everyone's safety.

Please remember to:

  • Drive slowly and cautiously.
  • Be aware of pedestrians.
  • Follow the designated traffic flow.

Additionally, we ask that students exit cars on the passenger side so we can do our best to keep everyone safe.

Your cooperation in following these guidelines will help us create a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Some students have opted out of having their photos or videos taken and we must honor this request. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following this policy.
