#OneTeamOneDream❤️
Our fifth graders transformed our Little Run courtyard into a real-life archaeological site, unearthing the mysteries of the ancient civilization of "Barringtonia".
Witness the excitement and wonder as our fifth graders embark on a thrilling archaeological expedition. With each discovery, their curiosity deepens and their understanding of history expands.
These curious kindergarteners in Ms. Millard's class are diving into the fascinating world of time! They're exploring the differences between long ago and now, comparing toys, clothes, and even transportation.
A Message from the Admin Team
Dear Little Run Family,
We hope you are enjoying the warm weather and fall festivities. We wanted to remind you that there is no school for students tomorrow, Monday, October 14, as it is Indigenous People's Day and a staff development day.
We look forward to welcoming our children back to school on Tuesday, October 15 as we kick off Digital Citizenship Week. Please refer to the spirit week calendar below for daily theme ideas.
As a reminder, we will have our next three-hour early release on Monday, October 21.
We are thrilled to share that our students are diligently earning Roadrunner Tickets daily, and their house boxes are filling up quickly! We are excited to see which house will emerge as the leader!
We look forward to another fantastic week of learning and growth. We are also excited to announce that the Mason softball team will be visiting Little Run on Friday, October 18 for a fun-filled pep rally. This event will help us reconnect with our community partners and provide our students with valuable opportunities to interact with student-athletes. The softball players will be visiting our classrooms throughout the year to foster positive relationships and connections within our community.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Christie Yarn, Principal

The Little Run Way in the Classroom

Consider asking your child(ren) one or more of the following questions:
- What does it look and sound like to be respectful in the classroom?
- How did you show responsibility in class?
- What does it mean to be ready when you are with your peers in the classroom?

Celebrating the Power of School Lunches
Multiple studies show that school lunches are important in supporting overall student health by improving students’ diets and combating food insecurity. Students who eat school lunches consume more fruit, vegetables, and fiber than their peers.
This School Lunch Week, FCPS Food and Nutrition Services reminds families that they are dedicated to providing flavorful, healthy, sustainable, and student-focused meals. Also, new menu items have been launched this year based on student feedback.
Want to know what’s for breakfast or lunch? Nutrition Services now has printable menus.
