Dranesville Elementary Recognized as a Common Sense School
As we celebrate Digital Citizenship Week, we pause to recognize the leadership of our Tech Coach, Ms. Young. Ms. Young not only led the efforts for Dranesville to earn the Common Sense badge in the 23-24 school year, she supports our teachers with purposefully using technology to enhance instruction. She teaches our students how to use technology as communicators, collaborators, and global and ethical citizens. |
Dranesville ES is taking part in Digital Citizenship Week! We’ll have daily activities to help students think about how technology affects their lives, as well as a Spirit week with daily themes to continue the conversation and reflect on how they can use technology to be a positive influence in their community. Use these conversation starters to help your kids talk about their digital lives:
First graders in Ms. Comeau's class engaged in an interactive read loud during morning meeting. While reading Nerdy Birdy Tweets, students reflected on how we, as Digital Citizens, should stop, think, and make good choices. This is also supportive of being a good friend. We practiced this strategy throughout the day today. |
