Dear North Springfield Community,
This year seems to be going a mach speed and not slowing down. We are only a couple weeks from the end of the first quarter. Last week we had a chance to finally plant our trees from a grant that had been in the works for almost 2 years. Casey Trees came and led our students in planting 28 trees on our campus. We planted a variety of species all of which are native to Virginia. The next step of this project will be framing and expanding the mulched area around some of the trees next to the playground and installing 2 more benches that our PTA purchased last spring. When the project is complete it should enhance our playground for the whole community.
Reminders:
Monday 10/14 is a student Holiday and Teacher Workday
Monday 10/21 is an Early Release Monday, an eNotify email was sent to all parents/guardians yesterday(10/10) which included a new survey to gather information so that we can account for where all our students are to go that afternoon. Please fill that out that quick survey if you have not done so yet.
Thank you for all your support,
Chad McRae and Kevin Sami, Administrative Team
North Springfield Elementary

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees, specifically at North Springfield ES.

Transported After School Program - Our After School Program (AMP) is the perfect alternative to SACC/Daycare. Your child will get a daily Taekwondo class, snack and quiet/homework time. So a child should have gotten a good workout and their homework done when you pick up so you can enjoy the rest of your evening together.
