This Week at Eagle View...

Principal's Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather!  We had another fun and exciting week at Eagle View.

This week, our PTA kicked off the Boosterthon Fun Run, our biggest fundraiser of the year. The funds raised will support important projects like water bottle refill stations, outdoor improvements, STEM Week, Literacy Week, and much more. The two-week fundraiser will end with our exciting Zombie Fun Run on October 18th, and we hope to see you there!

Last Wednesday was Custodian Appreciation Day, and in true Eagle View fashion, we celebrated our wonderful custodians all week this week, showing them how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication to keeping our school clean and safe.

We also celebrated our 5th grade students this week for earning 1st place for best attendance! Attendance matters, and it’s so important that our students come to school each day. Let's keep up the great work!

Mark your calendars for October 21st at 8:15 AM for Coffee with the Principal. I’ll be joined by Mrs. Sharpes, our Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, and Mrs. Anthony, our Reading Specialist. They will share an overview of our Advanced Academic Program and our new literacy program, Benchmark Advanced, along with tips for supporting reading at home.

Lastly, October 14th is a student holiday.  We look forward to seeing our Eagles bright and early on Tuesday morning!

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

KJ An

Principal

Celebrating the Power of School Lunches

lll

Multiple studies show that school lunches are important in supporting overall student health by improving students’ diets and combating food insecurity. Students who eat school lunches consume more fruit, vegetables, and fiber than their peers.

This School Lunch Week, FCPS Food and Nutrition Services reminds families that they are dedicated to providing flavorful, healthy, sustainable, and student-focused meals. Also, new menu items have been launched this year based on student feedback.

Want to know what’s for breakfast or lunch? Nutrition Services now has printable menus
