Indigenous Peoples’ Day

There will be no school on Monday, October 14, which is a student holiday and staff development day for Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Early Release on Monday October 21

Monday, October 21 is the second 3-hour early release of the school year. Clermont students will be dismissed at 12:50 pm. Those students who were opted-in to the extended childcare option will be dismissed at 3:50 pm. Each family was sent an email confirming the dismissal time you selected.  

Quarter End, Early Release, Diwali/Dia de los Muertos and All Saints Day, Student Holidays

Thursday, October 31, is the last day of the first quarter, and a two-hour early release for students. Clermont will dismiss at 1:50 pm. Friday, November 1, is a holiday this year for Diwali, Dia de los Muertos and All Saints Day. All schools and offices will be closed. Schools are closed for students on Monday, November 4, for a school planning day, and Tuesday, November 5, for a teacher workday. 


Mark Your Calendars for Our Annual Bookfair!

Book Fair Coming Soon!

The Bookworm Central book fair is coming the week of October 21 for students during school hours. Students will have the opportunity to visit the fair to make a wish list from Monday Oct. 21 – Wednesday Oct. 23 with their class. We will also be open for one late night on Wednesday,  October 23 from 4pm – 7:30 pm. If you are unable to make it to the family night, your child can purchase during their class’s assigned time. Your support of the school library program is greatly appreciated! Books can be purchased using cash, check (made out to Clermont Elementary PTA) or through an eWallet (this is DIFFERENT than Scholastic). For more information on the cashless option, eWallet, please visit the Bookworm website at www.bookwormcentral.comProceeds from the book fair support the improvement of the library collection and program.

Book Fair Volunteers Needed

Help is needed in preparing for the fair and throughout the week it is open. Please consider volunteering your time by helping to advertise, decorate, set up, work at the fair during school hours, work after school during our late night, and help to pack up. 

Please feel free to sign up to volunteer for an hour, a couple of hours, or for the entire week. Whatever works for you! The book fair is a lot of fun and is one of our most popular volunteer opportunities. We appreciate your time and efforts!

FREE Literacy Resource for Families

This Literacy Video Series and downloadable guides are rich with tips and actionable steps for parents and caregivers to help promote literacy with their children as they progress in their education journey: Early Literacy, Elementary, Middle, and High School. Advanced Academics News

Are you new to FCPS? Are you interested in referring your child in grades 3-8 for Full-Time Advanced Academics services? Full-Time referrals for the fall screening cycle are due Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Full-Time referrals for all other students are due no later than Sunday, December 15, 2024. Please visit the FCPS AAP site for helpful information regarding the continuum of services and the referral process. For more information about all of the AAP services we offer, please visit your child’s Schoology course and look in the Advanced Academics Folder for the AAP Fall Newsletter. Use your ParentVUE login credentials to access Schoology.

Hey there, ghoulishly great families of Clermont Elementary!

It's that time of year again—time for our annual Trunk or Treat event! Grab your costumes and your sweetest smiles, because on Friday, Oct. 25, our school parking lot will transform into a Halloween wonderland of treats, tricks, and fantastic fun!

👻 When: Friday, Oct. 25 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  

👻 Where: Clermont ES Parking Lot  

👻 Costumes: Optional but encouraged! 

So, mark your calendars and join us for a night of frightful fun and community spirit. 

We are looking for three trunks from each grade level. The PTA does purchase candy for this event but we are also kindly asking for candy donations, or other trinkets such as slap bracelets, squishies, spider rings, etc.
