I’m excited to announce that Ms. Katie Blomquist has been promoted to Assistant Principal at Westbriar Elementary School. Ms. Blomquist has been a vital part of the SVES community for nearly 17 years, starting with FCPS in 2004. She has held roles such as Summer Site Director and FCPS Social Studies Lead, and was named Virginia History Teacher of the Year in 2012. Her greatest pride lies in the relationships she’s built with students, families, and colleagues.
Ms. Blomquist will officially begin her new role on October 15. Please join me in wishing her all the best in this next step of her journey!
