The fun in STEAM lab continues! After mastering circuits to control lights and fans with switches, students took their skills to the next level by designing homes that incorporated their systems.

May all in our Jewish community observing Yom Kippur have an easy and meaningful fast. According to Jewish tradition, Yom Kippur is when God decides each person’s fate, so Jews are encouraged to make amends and ask forgiveness for sins committed during the past year.

⭐3 Hour Early Release Monday is⭐

October 28th, 2024

Our first three hour early release Monday went smoothly, thank you for your communication on student dismissal plans. As we look forward to the October 28th early release date the most important part of our plan remains to be clarity on what dismissal plans are for students both time and method

For the October 28 early release Monday:

  • For student already enrolled in SACC, SACC will be open and providing supervision for the three-hour release.
  • All Daycare busses/vans will pick students up at 12:40 pm
  • Confirmation E-mails have been sent out this week. Your child's dismissal plan is the same as the first early release Monday plan or updated information we have received since then.

⭐If there are any changes from what the e-mail states, please reply back to that e-mail so we can record those changes.

🚸Arrival/Dismissal Safety Reminders🚸

In order to ensure the safety of our community, for families that choose to drive their student(s) to school, please utilize the kiss-and-ride loop on Steeplechase Drive. Families of our preschool students should use street parking.  Please avoid parking on Colts Neck Road during these times. We appreciate your attention to this matter.

As a friendly reminder, we appreciate families notifying the office of any dismissal plan changes by 12:00 pm that day. If students have any after school care, or after school clubs, please include them in the notification also.

💚Celebrate the Mustang's Spirit of Appreciation!

This week, which Hunters Woods Elementary staff member(s) did you see making an impact doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way?! Please help us in recognizing their outstanding contributions by submitting an FCPS CARES for them.

✨The 2023-30 Strategic Plan — Goal 2: Safe, Supported, Included, Empowered

The Office of Food and Nutrition Services' updates to lunch menus align with FCPS’ Strategic Plan Goal #2 - Safe, Supported, Included, and Empowered. The new menu options reflect the many voices and cultures represented around every FCPS lunch table!

FCPS’ 2023-30 Strategic Plan sets five main goals to create positive change in the division. These goals show where we should focus our attention and will help us align our efforts.

As part of the second goal, we want each and every student to feel like they belong and have the support they need to thrive. See how Goal 2 is being put into practice.
