Notes from the Nest

In our SEES school community, we S.O.A.R., meaning that we demonstrate: Support, Optimism, Acceptance, and Responsibility.

Dear SEES Community,

This week, our Eagles have had some wonderful opportunities to engage and celebrate our community! We kicked off with a fantastic PTA meeting, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more of you at our next meeting on Monday, November 13th, at 9:30 AM.

Our 5th and 6th graders were treated to a special performance by the United States Marine Corps Woodwinds, who not only entertained but also inspired students with their musical talent and dedication. The excitement continued as the Edison High School Marching Band visited, showcasing what it’s like to be part of a high school band. It was a great opportunity for our students to see how pursuing music and the arts can open new doors and build community!

Thank you for your continued support and for helping our Eagles SOAR!

April Martin
Proud Principal

Celebrating the Power of School Lunches

Multiple studies show that school lunches are important in supporting overall student health by improving students’ diets and combating food insecurity. Students who eat school lunches consume more fruit, vegetables, and fiber than their peers.

This School Lunch Week, FCPS Food and Nutrition Services reminds families that they are dedicated to providing flavorful, healthy, sustainable, and student-focused meals. Also, new menu items have been launched this year based on student feedback.

Want to know what’s for breakfast or lunch? Nutrition Services now has printable menus
