Updated form for 3-Hour Early Release, Oct 21st (Complete by Oct 15th)- ACTION NEEDED
Please complete this UPDATED survey by 10/15/24 to indicate how your child will be going home for our next early release Monday on 10/21/24. *If you have multiple children, please complete a form for each student.
We encourage all parents/caregivers to have their student take their normal route home (SACC, bus, walk, kiss and ride) on early dismissal days. While these are designated as early release days- where necessary, we will ensure that every student has supervision at the school and returns home at the regular time if that is what works best for your family.

Walk, Bike & Roll to School, TOMORROW Oct 9th
Get ready for Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day on October 9th! Walking and biking to school benefits both the students and the community in several ways. Students who walk and bike get more physical activity, have more time to socialize with their friends, and develop a sense of independence and self-reliance. The community benefits from reduced pollution and traffic congestion. We encourage participants to plan a safe route in advance. A fun way to celebrate this day is to form a “walking train” with other Kings Park friends! Meet at the bike racks (to the left of main entrance) at 8:20 to celebrate and receive a gift for participating! Bus transportation will still be available and will follow the same route schedules. Kiss and Ride will still be available.

Join us for Morning Meeting and to learn about Advanced Academics in FCPS! As an adult community we will gather first in the cafeteria and then we will invite you to visit your child’s classroom to see how we start each day. Morning Meeting is an engaging way to build a strong sense of community and belonging and set children up for social and academic success. Each morning, students and teachers gather in a circle for the first twenty minutes of the day to connect with one another through a Greeting, Sharing, Activity, and Morning Message. See first-hand how Morning Meeting is a critical part of each child’s day and the importance of being at school on time. We welcome you to join in and participate!
Join us for Coffee and Donuts in the cafeteria from 8:30am-8:45 am, then head to your child’s classroom for Morning Meeting. Pick the day that corresponds with your child’s grade level!
