2. A Note from the Principal

Dear Rocky Run Families-

It's been a rainy week at Rocky Run. Our current stretch of consecutive days of rain has to be a record, right? The rain has caused our teachers to be creative during recess and PE periods, and the kids are getting (understandably) stir crazy. I hope that the weather improves for the upcoming four-day weekend!

On a personal note, next week I will be accompanying a group of 26 Rams to England for our bi-annual exchange program. Our students have been fostering relationships with their buddies at the Warriner School in Banbury, England for the past year. Our group travels to visit them next week and returns the favor for the English students in March. I am definitely looking forward to touring Warrick Castle, and sailing on the Thames River, among many other adventures! The exchange program is one of the many perks of serving as the principal of the BEST middle school in FCPS.

Be on the lookout for a guest author in this section of the newsletter next week.

Thank you for your continued support and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Peter Kownacki
Principal
