Greetings, Team Langston Hughes:
This month, we celebrate and highlight the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
In addition, this week, September 21st – 29th, we celebrate Blue Star Week. Today, Friday, September 27th, we hosted a breakfast for our military-family students. We want to continue to help our miliary students stay connected and feel welcome.
Our students have done an amazing job selling chocolate and having FUN doing so! However, our fundraiser is quickly coming to an end. Remember, if your child returned a permission slip and received a box of chocolate, he/she owes the school $60.00. Should you have questions, reach out to Dr. Mizell. Thank you for helping make our schoolwide fundraiser a success!
Finally, continue to monitor your child’s progress – grades and attendance (every bell) – by way of ParentVUE. Low grades/failure should not come as a surprise because we are working together – grading and reporting. We want all students to meet academic success. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teachers should you have questions/concerns. The first grading period is quickly coming to an end.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!
Take good care,
Principal Mizell
