🍧Attendance Popsicle Raffle

Attendance matters and our TLES Tigers are doing a great job coming to school 😊 Last year we did an amazing job of having only 7.7% of students chronically absent (that’s a reduction of 6.2% from the previous academic year)! Regular attendance can help students be successful at school, graduate on time, and achieve their life goals.

Each week, we will hold an attendance raffle. Students who have had perfect attendance the previous week will have their name drawn. One name will be drawn for each grade. If your child’s name is announced for perfect attendance, they will enjoy a popsicle in the café after lunch!

While we want students to be here at school, it’s important to keep our community healthy. Please note that students should stay home if they have diarrhea, a fever, or are vomiting. Thank you for your support!

Calling Sixth Graders to Join the Timber Lane Newspaper Club!

Starting on October 10, students from McLean High School's award-winning newsmagazine, The Highlander, will come to Timber Lane every two weeks to help create and develop our very own student newspaper! Forming as an after school club, the group will meet every other Thursday from 3:35-5:30. We are looking for interested 6th-grade students who enjoy writing or are artistically skilled (cartoonists)! By joining, students will improve their writing skills and see their work published in either a print magazine or an email newsletter. After school buses will be available. The group will end in early April. Interested students should fill out the registration form in the Wednesday folder.
